ABOUT MYRNA

Dr. Flores has over 20 years of experience collaborating as an internal or external consultant in different manufacturing and services organizations, leading several initiatives related to Lean Thinking, Business Process Improvement, Six Sigma, Supply Chain, Change Management, Open Innovation, Digital Transformation and Human Centered Service Design; providing also training and coaching. She is co-founder and president of the Lean Analytics Association (LAA) and visiting scholar at the College of Management of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. She carried out her Post-doc at EPFL collaborating at the Lean Product and Process (LeanPPD) FP7 European project from 2009 to 2013. She completed her PhD in 2006 at the Politecnico di Milano studying Open Innovation Models to enable industry-university collaboration for innovation. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems in 1999 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monterrey Tec (ITESM) in 1996.



ABOUT LOURDES

Dr. Sosa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management, London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to joining LSE in 2013, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship of the London Business School. She holds a PhD from MIT Sloan School of Management. In her research, she studies technology strategy and innovation management. In particular, she focuses on the competitive dynamics of the R&D races that ensue through technological discontinuities, that is, through periods of "creative destruction". Dr. Sosa has researched biotechnology's impact on the anticancer drug market extensively. She is currently examining the drivers of new drug adoption in developed versus developing countries. A member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, INFORMS (the leading association for Management Science) and the Industry Studies Association, she has published in top management and strategy journals including Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Management Science. She is presently a member of the Editorial Board for the Academy of Management Journal, a representative-at-large of the Academy of Management, Technology and Innovation Management division, and the Program Chair of the Strategic Management Society, Knowledge and Innovation interest group. She continues to collaborate for research with the faculty of the MIT Sloan School.

ABOUT DAVID

David Muñoz is currently Lean Expert and P&I architect at AIRBUS Defence & Space. After 6 years working in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Engineering at Airbus Commercial, David started a new journey deploying Lean at Airbus DS and in the last 4 years has been focus on Lean Management and strategy in Programs, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing. In his current role he is leading the missions in the task force in Military Aircraft for giving solutions to the main problems identified across the Business Lines. In the other side acting as responsible of aligning Lean strategy for Airbus DS subsidiaries as well as leader of benchmarking on Lean with other companies. David Muñoz holds a M. Eng. in Industrial Engineering and is also currently Associate Professor of Lean Fundamentals as well as tutor of Ph.D. at UAM University.



ABOUT SILVIA

Silvia Pascual is currently Lean Expert and P&I architect at AIRBUS Defence & Space. After 5 years working as Aeronautical System Engineer, Silvia started in 2012 working in Lean Engineering and currently, she is supporting continuous and business transformation in areas as Quality, Manufacturing, Programs and Procurement. She is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and takes the accountability of specific End to End Missions within Military Aircraft. As part of her role, she offers specific solutions based on lean methods, tools and practices and also leads the management of the Missions. In addition, Silvia is responsible for the deployment of Hoshin Kanri to establish the Strategic objectives and Projects of the organization. Also, she supports transversal activities as processes harmonization and knowledge sharing. Silvia Pascual holds a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, a M. Eng. in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Systems Engineering.

ABOUT NORBERT

Beginning in 2005, Norbert has implemented a principles-based lean product development process at the three global innovation centers of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. For nearly a decade he has been Goodyear’s lean champion in research and development. Norbert, born and raised in Luxembourg, has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Universitaet des Saarlandes, Saarbruecken, Germany, and has worked most of the disciplines in the Goodyear innovation centers in Luxembourg and Akron. Norbert recently published his first book “Lean-driven Innovation,” and he has spoken at many conferences in the USA and other countries.

He is an experienced mechanical engineer with over 30 years’ service in the Chassis areas of Jaguar Land Rover and former companies. Currently he is the senior manager of the Brakes Engineering. He has managed many different functions at the Chassis areas at JLR such as Suspension Systems Architecture, Suspension Design to name few. Professor Tucci is Dean of the College of Management of Technology at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he is the Chair of Corporate Strategy & Innovation. He joined EPFL in 2003 where he teaches courses in Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), Information Technology Strategy and Design Thinking. Dr. Al-Ashaab is Reader in Lean Product Development at the Manufacturing Department of Cranfield University. He is leading the LeanPPD Research Group at Cranfield University. He was the technical coordinator of the LeanPPD European project. His research projects have a strong focus on industrial applications. At Cranfield University, He is the Course director of MSc program on Knowledge Management for Innovation. He has 23 years of teaching experience in Mexico, Colombia, France and UK. Dr Ahmed Al-Ashaab is the author/co-author of more than 60 research papers published in major international journals and internationally refereed conferences. He has supervised over 70 Masters and Doctoral theses. He has been an active peer reviewer for EPSRC, and several international journals. He has been collaborating with many companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Visteon, JLR, VW, Sitech, Indesit, MOOG, Caltec, CEMEX, Paxton and GE.
